SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Tapan Pradhan was born in 1978 in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal (India). He completed his earlier schooling from Baruipur High School, Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. He completed B.E.E. from Jadavpur University in 2002. After completing B.E. in Electrical Engineering, he joined Hindustan Motors Limited (HML) as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and worked as Service Territory Manager in PCH and NCR. He left HML and joined Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology as a Lecturer in 2005. He joined M.E.E in Jadavpur University in the year 2007 with a specialization, Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation. He completed his M.E. in 2009 and joined IIT Kharagpur as a research scholar. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. At present he is working as an Assistant Professor Grade I in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Silchar, Assam.
