SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Biswarup Ganguly received the B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology (Presently known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) in 2013, M. Tech degree in Intelligent Automation & Robotics from Jadavpur University in 2016, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2022. His research interests include condition monitoring of electrical and biomedical systems and applications of vision-based measurement systems. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor (Grade-II) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Silchar. Before that, he served as an Assistant Professor at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India, and has served as the Chapter Advisor of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Branch Chapter (2021-23).

He has more than 40 publications (8 IEEE Transactions/ Letters) in reputed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Ganguly was the recipient of the University Gold Medal in 2016 awarded by Jadavpur University,  Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2021 awarded by IEEE Signal Processing Society Kolkata Chapter in 2022, and three best paper awards between 2018 and 2023.
