PROJECTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Ambrish Devanshu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, India. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Delhi Technological University (DTU), New Delhi, in 2019 and his B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). During his undergraduate studies, he carried out his major project at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. Prior to joining academia, he worked as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies and later served as an Assistant Professor at NIT Patna before joining NIT Silchar. He has authored two academic books, numerous research articles in reputed international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He serves as a reviewer for leading journals published by IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley, and has contributed as a Technical Chair, Session Chair, Program Committee Member, and reviewer for several national and international conferences. He has presented his research at prestigious international conferences across Europe and Asia, fostering global research collaborations. He has been actively involved in sponsored research projects, organized national-level workshops, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), Short-Term Training Programmes (STTPs), and technical events, and played a significant role in the development of advanced Power Electronics and Electrical Drives laboratories. Dr. Devanshu is a recipient of the Premier Research Award from Delhi Technological University for his outstanding research contributions. Under his supervision, research scholars have received IEEE Travel Awards, Student Travel Grants, and Best Paper Awards at national and international conferences. He actively supervises Ph.D., M.Tech., and B.Tech. students and is committed to promoting high-quality research, innovation, and industry–academia collaboration in electrical engineering.
